The Prolong Extended Cooling System (E.C.S.) addresses an issue that has long been overlooked:
When A Computer Is Powered Down Heat Rises
your chip is at its hottest when you first power down your PC.
This device keeps your heatsink cooling fan running after you turn off your computer, draining the heat out of the chip safely.
Also the exhaust fan is a good idea to get that hot air out

This device also has the ability to control a second fan. This is ideal if you want to keep a case fan running after shutdown so that it will continue to exhaust out

When a PC is turned off, the temperature of the CPU rises considerably because the active cooling has been turned off.
The Prolong extends the cooling time to preserve the components.
Once you have turned off your computer the Nexus Prolong will start operating and will keep the connected fans running for approximately 5 minutes. The fan
power/speed is brought back to 5V instead of 12V to reduce the fan noise, yet provide sufficient airflow to reduce the temperature of the CPU and the entire
system significantly.

The Nexus Prolong is equipped with an LED. When your PC is turned on the LED is green, once your PC is turned off the Nexus Prolong will do its job and the
LED will turn red.
